Updated: Bilt Mastercard Review
Tl;dr: check out our updated review of the Bilt Mastercard.
It’s been well over a year since we initially reviewed the Bilt Mastercard, so we have updated the review to (hopefully!) be a little easier to use, and to incorporate all the changes over the past year. There have been a lot of those. The best of these include adding transfer partners like Marriott, Hilton, helicopter taxis, and—best of all—Alaska Airlines. Bilt also added a way to earn points at Walgreens. On the downside, updated/devalued its elite thresholds, lost American Airlines as a transfer partner, discontinued its Points Quest trivia game, and slashed the limit on Rent Day double points from 10k to 1,000.
There’s more bad than good there, to be honest, but the Bilt card remains squarely among the best credit cards on the market. It’s certainly my favorite. This year, thanks to Bilt’s massive July Rent Day, I was able to transfer enough points to book two tickets to Japan and got MVP status with Alaska, which got me upgraded to first class on three of my four most recent transatlantic flights. I also got a free drink in Manhattan. That is an absurdly good return on a card with no annual fee.
I highly recommend this card, especially to renters, and invite you to apply via our referral link HERE. But if you’d like to check out the pros and cons of the card in more detail, our updated review is now live HERE.
