HUGE Bilt Rent Day Bonuses 🚨🚨🚨

Tl;dr: This month’s transfer bonus and status opportunity with Alaska Airlines might be the best Bilt Rent Day ever—don’t miss out!

Rent Day is coming again on July first, and it is highlighted by two MASSIVE opportunities: a bonus on transfers of Bilt points to Alaska Mileage Plan and elite status on Alaska for Bilt Platinum and Gold members who transfer 10k miles to Alaska. Here’s a full rundown of the opportunities this month:

Bonus miles

Alaska miles are great because on any given day you can go to their website and easily find excellent, high-value redemptions to a wide variety of destinations. For example, in 5 minutes of poking around I found flights from San Francisco to Tapei for 75k miles, Philadelphia to Madrid for 55k miles, and Atlanta to Santiago for 50k miles.

On Rent Day, Bilt members can transfer up to 50,000 of their points to Alaska with a bonus that corresponds to their Bilt tier:
Blue: 25%
Silver: 50%
Gold: 75%
Platinum: 100%

Because Blue is Bilt’s basic status, anyone could transfer 40k Bilt points to Alaska and have 50k Alaska miles as a result. If you took full advantage of this offer by transferring 50k Bilt points, you would end up with:
Blue: 62,500
Silver: 75,000
Gold: 87,500
Platinum: 100,000

Now, using the San Francisco to Tapei flight above as an example, you can buy a ticket for $822, but the full economy ticket you’d get with Alaska miles would cost $1,808. So if you have Bilt Silver status and transferred 50k Bilt points to Alaska, those 50k Bilt points are conservatively worth 1.5¢ per point, and worth 3.5¢ per point compared to the face value of the ticket. Those same dates, you could also book a flight to Tokyo on JAL, flights that would cost you $2,632 in cash, for 5.1¢ per point in face value. In other words, this is a great deal.

Alaska status

If that’s not enough, Bilt Gold and Platinum members can access elite status on Alaska Airlines through December 31st just by transferring 10k Bilt points to Alaska. Although these points won’t be eligible for the bonus above, you will get 10k Alaska miles out of the deal. Considering that transfers to Alaska are probably the best use of Bilt points anyway, this is basically free status. (I triple checked the rules because I couldn’t believe the deal was that good).

If you have Bilt Platinum status you will receive MVP Gold status, and Bilt Gold members will receive MVP status. You can read the full list of benefits here, but some of the highlights of even entry-level MVP status are:

  • Bonus miles

  • Access to upgrades

  • Priority check-in and boarding

  • 2 free checked bags

  • Priority customer service

  • Priority check-in when flying with oneworld partner airlines

  • Access to upgrades and 1 free checked bag when flying American Airlines

That last one is especially important—by having Alaska status, you also get a form of status on AA, one that includes a free checked bag, priority check-in, and the possibility of upgrades. Given AA’s much wider domestic and international footprint, that is a huge benefit.

Even better, this bonus does not count as a status match. Alaska offers status matches for elites of other airline programs, but only allows you to receive complimentary elite status this way once per lifetime. However, the complimentary status through Bilt does not count against that lifetime limit, so you can take advantage of the status now and still potentially receive a status match in the future.

Double points

In addition to these amazing bonuses with Alaska Airlines, the usual range of Bilt Rent Day bonuses are afoot as well. The biggest, of course, is double points on all purchases other than rent. That means 6x on dining, 4x on qualifying travel, and 2x on all other non-rent purchases. So make sure you take your Bilt card out when paying for dinner and hold off on any big-ticket purchases until the 1st to take full advantage of Rent Day.

Points Quest and Rent Free

Be sure to open up the Bilt app on Rent Day to play Points Quest! Sadly, this month’s Rent Day will be your last chance to earn up to 250 Bilt points just for answering a few trivia questions correctly, so make sure that you don’t miss out.

Also, play the monthly quiz game Rent Free for a chance to have your rent paid off for a month, up to $2,500

Other benefits

In addition to the above, Bilt members can book a free SoulCycle ride (availability limited). There are also opportunities to pay for special products from the Bilt Collection or curated dining experiences.

Conclusion

This may be the best Rent Day yet, but keep an eye out, because Bilt has a tendency to top itself. If you pay rent and don’t have the Bilt Mastercard, consider signing up via our referral link HERE.
